Appointments
Please tell the receptionist which doctor you are registered with, and they will try to book you to see that doctor wherever possible. At some time the doctor of your choice may not be available, the receptionist will offer you alternatives, but please be understanding if she needs to ascertain the urgency of your problem, in order to find the most appropriate appointment for you.
Consultations are by appointment only except for emergencies. Morning and evening appointments are available daily between 09:00 to 12:00 and 16:30 to 17:40. The Practice also provides “extended opening hours” for patients who find it difficult to attend the surgery within our normal hours because of work commitments.
Urgent Appointments, Triage and Telephone Enquiries
If you feel your problem is medically urgent please tell the receptionist. Your name and home telephone number will be taken and our nurse practitioner will contact you to ascertain in confidence the nature of your problem and either advise you on the telephone, see you in surgery or ask a doctor to see you at the appropriate time.
If you feel your problem may be addressed by talking with the Doctor we also offer telephone appointments when the Doctor will be able to speak to you about medical issues without you needing to come to the practice.

Chaperone Policy
This organisation is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and safety of everyone is of paramount importance.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present where they feel one is required. This chaperone may be a family member or friend. On special occasions you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff.
Whenever possible we would ask you to make this request at the time of booking the appointment so that arrangements can be made and your appointment is not delayed in any way. Where this is not possible we will endeavour to provide a formal chaperone at the time of request. However occasionally it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.
Your healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations in accordance with our chaperone policy.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
