Forest Surgery Site Move
Dear Patients,
I am writing to update you that The Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company (WRBC) have begun a period of consultation for the next phase of its town centre development project, ahead of their submitting a formal planning application.
A central part of this phase of development is the plan for a new state of the art health hub, set over two floors. It is anticipated this will host services currently delivered from the Chase Community Hospital, the Forest Surgery and Chase Pharmacy.
Alongside this consultation a patient engagement programme led by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB) with service providers Southern Health and Forest Surgery is also now underway.
As part of this engagement we are inviting existing patients of both Chase Community Hospital and Forest Surgery to find out more about the planned move of services and give their views. You can take our short survey online at: https://mysay.is/whitehillbordon; or by using the QR code below:
The planning consultation and patient engagement will run from 18th May until 2nd June. It will give everyone in the area the opportunity to find out more about the plans for the development, to ask questions of all the partners involved and to give their views.
The public events are as follows:
- Thursday 18 May, Friday 19 May and Saturday 20 May: Public exhibition at The Shed
- Thursday 25 May, Friday 26 May and Saturday 27 May: Public exhibition at Forest Community Centre
Following the completion of the Planning Application consultation and engagement processes, the planning application for the new Health Hub will be submitted to East Hants District Council, in early Summer.
It is anticipated the new Health Hub will be completed in 2025, with services moving in towards the end of that year. The Chase Community Hospital and the GP surgery will remain open until the development is complete.
No health services are being closed or changed in this process. It’s simply a case of moving them across to the new location. We know that any change can be unsettling but we want to reassure you that there is no reason to be alarmed by these plans – in fact we hope you agree with us that it will be good news for everyone.
You will still have access to the same GPs and other staff and the practice will remain open at its current site until the development is complete.
Thank you,
Dr Anthony Leung (Partner)

THE TELEPHONE NO FOR BADGERSWOOD SURGERY HAS CHANGED TO 01428 770004
Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that our new telephone system is now, at long last, operational. This will provide patients with a much improved queuing system, along with the facility for a call-back, meaning that patients can register their place in the queue, hang up and receive a call back from our Reception team.
We hope that this new phone system will greatly enhance our patients' experience with the Surgery.
We would be delighted to receive your feedback on the new phone system, both good and bad, so please do so by clicking here.
Welcome to Badgerswood & Forest Surgery
The practice operates out of two sites, the Forest Surgery in Bordon and the Badgerswood Surgery in Headley and also provides medical care for the surrounding villages.
Although patients receive the majority of their care from one site, patients may occasionally be asked to visit the other site for emergency appointments or specialized care.
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
